Marlon's story

Marlon Wayans is the youngest of the world famous Wayans family. He was born July 23, 1972 to the parents of Elvira and Howell Wayans in New York. Older brothers included Keenan, Damon, Shawn and Dwayne. Older sisters include Kim, Elvira, Deidra, Nadia and Vonnie. He has at least four nieces(children of Keenan and Damon).

He stands 6'2 and is the proud father of two children.

A graduate of the famed New York High School of Performing Arts and Howard University.

He first appeared on his brother's series-In Living Color. In 1992, he worked with his older brother, Damon, on the hit movie-More Money. He did vocal credits for the soundtrack.

Around this time he was signed on to be Robin in Batman Returns and Batman Forever. He was paid before having the chance to play Robin in the movies. In the original version of the movie, Robin appeared in the junkyard scenes of the movie. Marlon's costume would have consisted of a mechanic outfit with an R on the chest. He helps Batman and tells him his name and disappears like Batman does in comics.

Marlon was fitted for the costume and when the script was changed-Robin was written out. When Joel Schumacher replaced Tim Burton as Batman's director, Chris O'Donnell became the new Robin.

A smaller role came in Above the Rim. His character, Bugaloo killed Tupac's character in the movie. A few years later, he teamed with Shawn and did the hit movie-Don't Be A Menace in South Central While Drinking Your Gin and Juice. Warner Brothers feeling guilty for screwing Marlon on Batman gave him and Shawn a chance to do a series. Thus The Wayan Brothers came on the air in 1995 on the newly formed Warner Brothers network for a 5-year run.

More movies followed in the forms of The Sixth Man as Kenny Tyler with Kadeem Hardison and Married With Children's Harold Sylvester. Next came Senseless as Darryl Witherspoon with David Spade. The amazing box office hit-Scary Movie with his brother-Keenan and Shawn. He was in the sequel Scary Movie 2. He dropped out of Scary Movie 3 to work on White Chicks and The Ladykillers.

He played Snails in the new Dungeons and Dragons movie and won the role right off the bat. Think of Snails as a Wayans in Camelot. All his scenes were filmed before he had to leave to do another movie in another city.

His first dramatic role will be drug addict in the yet to be released Requiem for a Dream with Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly. He had to fight for the role since the director didn't want anybody from the WB network in his movie. So Marlon threw himself into the character by making a fake drug kit, sleeping on the floor and not bathing for two day. He got the role, but not without a price. He couldn't bathe for another two days.

He also does his first major love scene in the movie. In an interview he talk about how hard it is to do since he had to wear a cloth and deal with a girl that he didn't know personally.

He was nominated in the category of Best Supporting Actor for a Black Reel award for doing Dream. He also noated for favorite actor in a comedy for Scary Movie in 2001.

He produced and wrote Scary Movie 3 with his brother, Shawn. For Ladykillers, he finally got to work with one his favorite actors-Tom Hanks. For White Chicks, he and Shwn played tow disgraced FBI agents that go undercover to protect two sister that are heiresses of a hotel empire.
